It has been almost a year since we last updated the Cottle's Castles blog, but we certainly haven't spent that time sitting still. We've continued supplying bouncy castles, inflatables, soft play, games and event equipment throughout Romford, Essex and East London, helping with everything from children's birthdays to school fun days and larger events.
Now autumn 2026 is here, darker evenings, lower temperatures and less predictable weather are returning with it. That changes how many parties are planned, but it certainly doesn't mean inflatable hire has to stop until spring. For the colder months, a suitable indoor venue can provide a practical home for bouncy castles, soft play and plenty of our other entertainment.
Cold Outside Doesn't Mean the Bouncy Castles Stop
Summer naturally lends itself to garden parties and outdoor Inflatable Events, but autumn requires a little more planning. Rain, colder temperatures and changing conditions can make an indoor venue particularly useful when organising a children's birthday party.
Community centres, church halls, sports halls and other suitable venues can provide space for inflatable entertainment while keeping guests protected from the weather. The important part is choosing equipment that fits the venue properly.
Before booking an inflatable for a hall, check the available floor dimensions and ceiling height as well as access into the building. Remember that the listed dimensions of an inflatable are not necessarily the complete operating space required around it. Smaller Bouncy Castles for Autumn Hall Parties
A huge inflatable is not necessary for every birthday. For smaller venues, a compact castle can leave enough room for tables, food, seating and other activities while still giving children a dedicated bouncing area.
