Terms & conditions of booking.
Before booking with Cottle's Castles please thoroughly read our terms of conditions of hire.
Any booking received by any means, it will be deemed by Cottle's Castles that the customer has read, understood and agrees the terms & conditions of booking.
There may be occasions when events beyond our control such as adverse weather, traffic, staffing or vehicle problems that Cottle's Castles are unable to carry out the booking as scheduled. These events are extremely rare but in such cases a full refund of any monies paid will be refunded to the customer.
Cottle's Castles endeavour to set up inflatables before midday and collect after 5 pm unless booking in a venue and we have agreed specific timings. If for reasons beyond our control set up of equipment is late, we will try to make up time by collecting late.
Our prices and method of payment.
A 20% rounded up to the nearest £10 non refundable booking fee applies to all our bookings payable via our website. The balance of payment must be paid by cash or via our email link on day of hire. See cancellation policy for details.
Hire location and facilities required
The size of our equipment is described on our website. Sizes are approximate so please ensure you have adequate space for the inflatable. Some of our equipment is large so it is the customer's responsible to ensure there is adequate access to a set up point. If you fail to measure your space correctly and the product does not fit in or cannot be anchored correctly you will be liable for the full cost that will be taken from your bank. By signing theses terms and conditions you are agreeing that if the product does not fit Cottles Castles will have permeation to bill my account if not already paid. Inflatables will only be set up on a clear flat area for outside use. For indoor use please ensure there is adequate height clearance from lights etc. Inflatable require a 240 volt AC mains electricity supply. It is the customer's reasonability to ensure the site is appropriate. We will need to be informed in advance if a circuit breaker is not present at the hire location, if this is the case we can provide an RCD. If on arrival our installer deems the site is not suitable then equipment will not be installed. In such cases the customer will be deemed responsible for 100% of costs incurred. We do not hire in communal areas such as shared gardens or a green in front of flats, you will be charge in full if you decide to book and ignore this notice. Damage to Customer Property and Vehicles
Cottles Castles takes the utmost care during delivery, setup, and collection of our equipment. However, we cannot be held responsible for any damages to customer property, including but not limited to vehicles, pathways, door frames, and other structures, under the following conditions:
- Narrow Access: If our team is required to transport equipment through any area that is less than 3 feet (0.91 meters) wide, we will not be liable for any damages that may occur to property, including walls, doors, fences, or any other fixtures.
- Household Access: If we are required to move equipment through your home, we are not responsible for any damages to steps, door frames, flooring, or any other interior or exterior parts of your property. Bouncy castles and associated equipment are heavy, and while we take care, there is a risk of damage, particularly if there are weak or brittle plastics or other materials in the area.
- Vehicle Access and Parking: We are not responsible for any damage to vehicles that are parked in the way while delivering, please ensure your vehicles are moved so we have a clear path to the delivery/collection location.
By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that you have considered the size and weight of our equipment and the suitability of your property for safe delivery and collection. If you have concerns about access or potential risks, please discuss them with us in advance so that we can explore alternative solutions.
Terms & conditions of hire
All equipment hired remains the property of Cottles Castles.
A responsible adult must be present to supervise children using the equipment at all times. Some of our equipment have age/height restrictions. It is the customer's responsible to ensure that these are adhered to as stated on our website.
Any persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any intoxicating substances are not permitted to use the equipment.
Shoes must be removed prior to using our inflatables and soft play.
Food, drink, pets and face paint and silly string and poppers, gum etc. are not allowed on our equipment.
No pets are allowed on or in any of our equipment.
Jewellery and any sharp objects such as belt buckles should be removed prior to using our equipment.
Our equipment should not be overcrowded. Please keep numbers to the intended use for each piece of our equipment as specified on our website.
Climbing on the roof or sides of any of our inflatables is not permitted.
Children using slides are only permitted feet down first.
Do not wet any of our inflatables with a hose/water at any time. A £100 fine will be issued if this happens and by signing theses terms you are agreeing for this to be deducted from your account.
People with pre-existing health conditions particular cardiac, back or neck conditions should not use our equipment.
Pregnant women are not permitted on our inflatables.
It is the customer's responsible to periodically check the equipment is safe ie.
- anchorage points remain secure;
- safety mats remain in correct position;
- fan is secured to inflatable and not obstructed.
Any cause for concern about safety should be reported immediately to Cottle's Castles.
Keep children and animals away from fan units, electrical cables etc.
Smoking is not permitted on or in any of our equipment.
Do not allow any heat source such as candles, barbecue, and heaters on or near our equipment.
Do not move any of our equipment once it has been set up.
No inflatables will be hired out in high wind conditions. Should condition change during hire and wind gusts are in excess of 24 mph please remove users and turn off power to deflate equipment.
Should heavy rain occur during hire please remove users until rain has passed. Prior to use again please dry equipment with a towel to minimise slipping.
Cottle's Castles will not be liable for damage caused to fake grass during installation to secure inflatables. This also applies to concrete when we thunderbolt castles to the ground. Please see our website prior to booking.
All our equipment will be supplied in a clean and sanitised condition. In the event of any equipment needing excessive cleaning on collection the customer will be charged an additional £50. If permeant staining occurs the customer will be charged the full cost of replacement panels. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that any person collecting our equipment is a legitimate employee of Cottle's Castles. If in any doubt please contact us immediately.
Our inflatables are secured to the ground with metal pegs. Please inform our installer of any underground pipes and cables etc. prior to installation as Cottle's Castles will take no responsible for any subsequent damage caused.
Ball pit balls are to be returned to the bag ready for collection, a fee of £20 will be charged if not returned.
The customer agrees to pay full cost covering loss or repair to any damage howsoever caused during the period of hire excluding wear and tear.
Extension leads can be a trip hazard, it is the customers responsibility to ensure the lead is covered or moved where appropriate to minimise risk.
Cancellation Policy
There may be occasions where Cottles Castles have to cancel your booking. This is a rare occurrence and is usually due to adverse weather conditions such as high winds, this can be at short notice. In such circumstances the customer will be refunded in full.
We do not cancel if rain showers are predicted but may do in extreme rain. 99% of our bouncy castles come with a built in rain cover.
You may move your booking date only once, this can not be done the day before your booking.
Should you wish to cancel your booking please let us know as soon as possible. Your booking fee which is 20% round up the nearest £10 is non refundable.
By signing theses terms and conditions you agree that if you choose to cancel the day before or on the day of your booking the remaining balance will be required and will be taken directly from the account you have provided.
